Building Digital Waqf Infrastructure for

Governance, Social Service Delivery & Sustainable Impact

10-12 APRIL 2026

Putrajaya International Conference Center (PICC) – KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA

A Governance-First, Institution-Led International Platform

  1. INTRODUCTION

The Global WaqfTech Conference & Exhibition 2026 is a governance-first, institution-led international platform convened to address the increasing role of digital systems in waqf, zakat, halal governance, and Islamic social finance.

As institutions across jurisdictions adopt digital infrastructure for asset management, financial reporting, certification, and social service delivery, there is a growing need to ensure that such systems are developed and deployed in alignment with governance, regulatory oversight, Shariah principles, and public trust.

This Conference is established to support that objective.

  1. RATIONALE & CONTEXT

Institutions responsible for waqf, zakat, halal certification, Islamic finance, and public-interest services face converging challenges:

  • Rapid digitalisation outpacing governance frameworks
  • Fragmented systems and data silos
  • Rising expectations for transparency, auditability, and accountability
  • Increasing cybersecurity and data protection risks
  • The need to align innovation with Shariah, law, and public interest

The Conference provides a neutral institutional space to address these challenges collectively through structured dialogue and governance-aligned engagement.
